Manchester United have released one of the most unique and exciting jerseys in years. Their new third jersey has multidirectional black and white stripes slashing across the entire shirt. The pattern resembles dazzle camo, a form of camouflage used on warships in the 1900s. Manchester United have a surprisingly long and storied history in striped kits. Many of United’s first jerseys were striped. Famously, in 1996, Alex Ferguson had the players change into a striped kit at half time of a match against Southampton. United will continue this history while wearing this bold new jersey. “OT 110” is written on the inside of the collar to pay tribute to the 110h anniversary of Old Trafford. United’s 2020/21 third jersey definitely honors the legacy of the Theatre of Dreams.
